If the blank is not made for sublimation, the print cannot properly bond. On a shirt, that usually means high polyester content. On hard goods, that means a proper sublimation coating.

Fresh protective paper is better than reusing the same sheet all day, especially on high-volume runs. It is a small material cost, but it helps prevent expensive mistakes.
