How to Press DTF Hoodies for a Clean Finish

Start with the instructions supplied with your specific DTF transfer. Most hot-peel and cold-peel DTF transfers land in a similar working range, often around 275 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit with medium-to-firm pressure, but do not treat a general setting as a replacement for product instructions.

The hoodie itself matters just as much. Cotton and cotton/poly blends are common, reliable choices for DTF. Polyester-heavy performance hoodies can work too, but they deserve extra care because high heat may cause dye migration or a visible heat mark. Test one when working with a new blank, especially on red, maroon, black, navy, or other deeply dyed polyester garments.
